I have a 2003 disco that has had a 2002 4.0 liter swaped into it, it also has a coil spring lift kit on it, Yesterday it was 0 degrees out and it would not start. this has happend before and it ussaly starts right up when it gets warmer out side. No luck this time. I have checked fuel presure and have 50# while cranking. The truck sounds like it is trying to start hitting on a couple of cylinders maybe, It sounds like it is out of time or flooded. This is my first rover and i dont know much about them. I also dont know much about the truck other than what the guy that gave it to me told me. I looked for a thread on 4.0 swaped into 4.6 discos but didnt find anything. any one that could shed some light here would be helpful. I was thinking crank trigger, but i know on most everything else i have messed with they either work or dont work, since it seems like it is get fire here and there i dont think it is the crank trigger.

 

The 4.0 and the 4.6 are externally and functionally identical. You do not need to search for any threads regarding vehicles with swapped engines.
