@frarod21 Plan on a couple of days to remove then a couple of day to replace the head gaskets.

I do not think the relocation kit is being made any more

i bought the relocation kit from Gerry not sure if you can still find him on eBay
I quit talking to him after some issues I had

but the upper intake is very easy to remove and coil packs are easy to do and cheap name brand bosh can be bought from rock auto for cheap

Spend some time inspecting.... U joints, brake system, fuel system , leaks, electrical, etc... I bet something needs repair before putting it on the road.
Do the front crank seal while under the hood, I bet it's leaking. The back of the power steering pump leaking?? Still have the original thermostat? Radiator hoses ever been replaced? Accessory belt ok? Do you have DeOxit terminal cleaner and some silicon for the crappy electrical connections?? Got the factory manual?
(I just picked up a D2 with a blown head gasket, been busy for weeks doing everything but the gasket. LOL)

It takes maybe an hour to pull off the intake manifold and lift the coils up to replace the plug wires. I don't consider the relocation kit to be an upgrade.

Lots of good threads on Head Gaskets, get the RAVE Manual, take your time, bag and label all bolts. Use good gaskets like Victor Reinz, Felpro, etc.

here is my experience.

Don't forget AB has a head gasket video. Great for a general overview of the project, but doesn't replace the manual. I wouldn't move the coils.

I agree about not moving the coils. Although they are difficult to get to. Replacing coils or spark plug wires is not frequent enough to justify the cost or effort to move them.

You guys have obviously never been on a long trip where a coil failed and you are down two cylinders.
