Pictures of each head would help determine possible issues with cylinder liners, too. Look for steam cleaned cylinder chamber in each head, and see if they align themselves with the head gasket marks. Did you check codes to see which cylinder was misfiring? This could help determine anti-freeze in a cylinder, too.

Brian, nothing is steam cleaned... head or piston. And my head bolt holes in the block are clean. Leads me to believe that the block is not cracked behind the liner.

Nah.
Liners can be a little high and put that groove into the head gasket.
My head gaskets looked like crap and I still had no liner lssues.

A liner not flush with the block deck, either somehow made it's way past QC in the factory, or it has moved.
Even though it fortunately hasn't caused any problems, the fact that it's high is upping the odds of the head gasket blowing there.

Thanks for the input guys. I contemplated pinning the liners, but I just don't have the time and the wife will never be confident in its reliability on a trip with the young ones. Time to let her go.

So you don't have a liner problem but you're still going to get rid of your truck?
The liner thing is totally overrated.
