i go to www.iequus.com . They have most of the P1XXX specific codes for LR...

I have a Mann air filter c25146 it looks it pretty good shape.
I have pulled the codes a few times. Sometimes i get

P0130
P0171
P1171

And sometimes i just get P0130 on its own.

Check Engine light usually after 1-2 trips.

Should I try any gas cleaner or fuel injector cleaner? Or what suggestions do you guys have?

Need more info on yours, what year, how many miles, what octane gas are you running and what tune related work has been done on it?

2003 land rover discovery with 92k miles. I been using 93 Premium gas from BP. I honestly dont know the previous history because I just bought it not too long ago. It drives fine with no apparent problems. Air filter looked fine.

I just added some fuel injector cleaner and gas cleaner...

What do you suggest next?
Start with the O2 sensor?

Should I just start with the drivers side front O2 sensor?

p0308

p0305
cylinder 5 misfire detected

p0300

p0308

You need to replace the other O2 sensor too, you always replace them all at once.
With that many misfires it is time for a tune up. You need plugs AND wires. If you drive it for to long with multiple misfires it will ruin the cats.
Most things need to be replaced all at the same time, O2's, cats, tires, brakes. If you need to replace one cat you then you need to replace both. They are both the same age and same mileage right?
Replace the other O2 and the plugs and wires. Use Magnacor wires and Iridium plugs. You can get the wires from www.roverconnection.com and the plugs from AutoZone.

YOu need to replace the O2 sensors all at the same time.

Sounds like you are due for new plugs and wires as well. Magnacor 8MM and Bosch +4 plugs. www.lrrforums.com has decent prices on the wires.

just my luck..... the check engine light went off 2 minutes before I was gonna drop it off to my mechanic..... I am thinking the extremely below zero weather may have caused the check engine light to come on?

Is it normal for the check engine light to just turn off on its own after getting codes like that?

The light can go off, it is probably just has not misfiring all of the time so the code clears itself. It will be back. You need new plugs and wires most likely and replace your other O2 sensors. They don't last forever and replacing them is routine maintenance at your mileage.

I am getting codes 1174 & 1171. The dealer says it needs new breather hoses. I have a 2003 RR with 63K miles on it. Any idea what those hoses are or where I might get them?
