I would check all wires to the alternator, ground wires, clean the posts. I keep one of these alternator testers in my tool box and has come in real handy

Thank you all for your recommendations and assistance.
I replaced the alternator with the Valeo unit from Amazon and upon removing the original alternator from the truck I spun it around and saw the Land Rover Valeo sticker on the back with the same part number as the replacement I received from Amazon.
