Makes perfect logical sense. Bad cap depressurizing the cooling system raises the boiling point. You're awesome and thanks for the information. I have odered a new cap and will keep you posted. Thanks again.

Napa has the exact same cap for apx $16.

im experiencing the same thing with my disco 1 V8... i still haven't found a solution to it..
