I recently purchased an 04 discovery with 80k.The truck is in excellent condition but I am having some brake problems. To start off, the front breaks squeak, the3 amigos plus the 'brake light'will come on at times but then go off, this cycle happens from time to time.
And this is whereI need the help and feedback from the experienced LR owners out here:
What can bethe cause of this problem?
Do I need to replace the rotors and pads?
Should I go ahead and bleed the system?
I read that LR rotors can't be machined/cut? Why not?
And lastly I walked out to my garage the other day (the truck had been seating there for days) and I was able to hear a buzzing sound like a small toy'smotor runningcoming from the ABS modulator, any idea as to what this can be? since the truck had not been started for at least 5 days
thanks in advance for all the help!

the squeaking is causing the three amigos to go off.
the pads should all be replaced front ant back. and depending on condition of the rotors they may need to be as well. in turn you should call this a complete brake service and have the fluid bled out and replaced with a good synthetic.
you can get all the parts needed for under $500 bucks from british atlantic. do not buy auto part store brakes.
the sound you hear is common and its nothing to worry about. mine does it they all do
