RE: 2004 Discovery fan blower will not work
Mine did the exact same thing.. The motorquit working, but if Iwiggled the wires itwould come back on.Somehow moisture got into a plastic connector above the relays.. Also got into one of the relays and corroded it.. I changed the connector to a universal 2-wire connector, and swapped the relays out and all is fixed.. Good luck..
P.M. me if you've got any questions.

RE: 2004 Discovery fan blower will not work
Jim, thanks for the help. I tried to PM and email you but I am locked out. I ordered a reostat like was recommended but it does not match what I removed. The part everyone comes up with is 4 pronged long and slinder with a ceramic resistor. Mine is wider and and has a metal resistor with several blades running up and down. I found it in the duct work just left of the fan blower. Maybe I am looking in the wrong area of the duct, but I have traced all the wires so I thought. Any help would begreatly appreciated.

I fixed my AC blower...
The AC blower on my wife's 99 Disco II quit working. I found this fix on the LRF and it worked perfectly...
You need to properly diagnos the situation. On my 00 Disco, I had the same prob. After a few days I found that there wasnt enough voltage going to the motor to make it work. How much do you have at the blower motor? And how much do you have coming through fuses 6 and 7? If its less than 13 to 14 volts it is the fuse panel itself. Make sure to check the voltage coming from the #4 fusable link under the hood at both ends of the brown/pink wire. I bet you have 14 volts all the way to the back of the fuse block. Now you can replace it for a couple hundred for a used one or do the quick $10.00 fix I did.
quick fix: get a wiring diagram
Download the rave if you havent already)
take the passenger side fuse panel out
cut the brown/pink wire
cut the brown/red wire ( the one going to the blower not to the acc)
buy two fusable links
connect the brown/pink to the correct brown/red. If you have rear air, the second link will connect the brown/pink to the yellow/green also. install appropiate fuses and it is fixed. All you are doing in bypassing the fuse block.
