Default 2015 Discovery HSE or Discovery SE

Plan to own a Discovery for a long time. I got two quotas from dealers last week. One is for HSE $41825, the other is SE $37328. I saw some shared prices by others in autopriceshare are lower than mine. However, I think both are fair prices in my small city. I compared the options difference between these two models and read some reviews about 2015 Discovery. However, I believe that the opinions from current Discovery owners are more valuable, Could any friends here give me some suggestions, HSE or SE?

I actually like the new Discovery, I do not like the 4cyl engine. While it share nothing with my 02 besides the name, Its a nice replacement/alternative to the LR2. If it where me buying one, it's go big or go home. Get the best one. Buying or leasing?

yeah, this new Disco sport is okay, x2 on not liking a 4 cyl for such a vehicle. interested to see what the full-size Disco is going to look like, and its spec's.

for this Disco- why not get the HSE?! check with car buying services too, my parents got an incredible deal by going through USAA. was actually quite shocked by how well they did. there are others out there too.

"Wait wait wait.. hold on a minute... full size Disco?"

yeah, as far as I know, it's slated to be a 2016 model. the "Sport" is the small version, the not-sport is the full-sized version apparently a/k/a the Disco5.

I took a look at the LR range whilst in the UK recently. IMO I didn't like the Disco Sport as it looked like the Evoque and just another city shopping cart with poor rear view visibilty. Most new LR's are directed at city dwellers for posing and most very rarely see offroading apart from parking in a field to watch horse racing or whatever. It's all now a very different market place with grossly overpriced vehicles.

They've always been overpriced as new.

Wait a year and pay half.

I just talked to a guy last night with a new LR2, 3k miles on it and he already wants to sell... paid 47k, lucky if he can get 30 for it now.

IMO the last LR4 or Disco 4 as I know it was the last real Disco and the RRS 1 was the last worthwhile RRS. If you scan the ads for sales of Discos and RR's the prices fall dramatically after 1-3 years. New LR's are excellent .......................... if anyone can afford them or take the hit on price in 3 years of ownership. As for warranty, now that's a real lottery.
