Default 21 mpg!!

Took my family down to the south shore of Nova Scotia at the first of the week for a little break and a wedding. We logged 700 miles on the disco with my wife and two kids and all our stuff and i averaged 20 mpg!!. Coming home today, 300 miles, set the cruise at 70 and I got 21 mpg!! Our truck worked great and looked great. Really like it.

HaHa, no but that is imperial gallons so it would be about 17.5 or 18 mpg with your gallons. I am still pretty happy though. It's great going somewhere and having the nicest vehicle there and only paying 8 grand for it.

Are you sure that's not 21 km/gallon? That's happens if you hold your finger on the trip reset button too long, it switches between miles and km.

Nice!!
The Disco's always seem to get their best fuel economy around 65-70mph.
Just curious... were you running the A/C?

It is possible to get good mpg with these things.
Cruise control is the key, the longer you can keep a steady speed the better.

He is talking imperial gallons, not sure why the first post did not mention that. I don't think 21 mpg is possible without drafting.

Don't know about the D2 as I haven't had a chance to find out yet. But my old D1 got 20mpg with the cruise at 65, no A/C, on a trip from TN to NY. Not exactly flat land and no, I didn't follow an 18 wheeler all the way
