There is a reserve which I'm going to guess is around 8K. I think he'll get that (based on the last CnB auction.

The pics are VERY flattering (12 footer!). I'd rock it!
But the fact that he did not smog it, and balked at a PPI kinda makes me wonder.

I've followed the owner for years on Instagram, I can send you his username if you want, he's got all the pics of his adventures with it. He added the rack, front bumper and a few other things. But he did the same, he bought it on cragislist with like no service history. I saw the Cars and Bids, an 04' with upgrades just sold for 11k so we shall see.

Wow, He could have cleaned it up a little better before an auction photo shoot... Tatty all around in appearance.

I wouldn't pay top dollar for that.

Did I miss any engine work notes?
I'm guessing no more than $6k on that site with that mileage......

I saw this in person and the pics make it look MUCH better. That said, he's got some mods on there that are worth a few grand, so we'll see!

If the motor was fully rebuilt with paper work then maybe. You would have to be on drugs to pay $9000 for a 250,000 mile discovery 2 V8. $5000 is being too generous. For that price get a Land Cruiser instead.

I don't know where you are at but around the west coast I don't see Land Cruisers in any condition for much less than $18k. For $9k though you can get a pretty decent much nicer looking high mile LR3 or L322.

My math -- figure this is a 4K truck, add 1.5-2.5K for accessories. 6-6.5K seems a bit more reasonable.
You guessed correctly! Sold for $6,700
