Default 255/70/16 ............ Will they fit

Hey guys. I've been looking at getting new tires and have been shopping around for the best prices. Well I came accross a clearance sale today on whats in stock at one of my local tire dealers. I called them up and, as luck would have it, they have four BFG all terrain K/O tires in stock. However, the catch is is that they only have them in 255/70/16. I know that I should be getting 245/75/16 but i was wondering if I could get away with the others. Also, he said he could do $650 with tax/mounting/balancing (everything). I think this is pretty good......any opinions. Thanks alot

I can't say for sure if they would fit, but it will be very close if they do. Two weeks ago I got five BFG AT T/A KO's (245/75/R16) at Big-O Tires and it cost just about $1100 here in San Francsico. That included tax, balance, mounting and a wheel alignment. I opted out of the tire coverage (~$100) which I might get when they get rotated. If they fit and you can get them for $650, I say go for it. You may try and get the 5th tire when they have them in stock. The company might be able to do a rain check so when they are back in stock they would be at the sale price. Worth looking into at least. Good luck!!

I am looking for 245/75/16 because there is a lot more selection at this size then 255/65/16 and cheaper but could this cause any problems for my drives? also curious if anyone has driven either Kumho's or Yokohoma's and wold you suggest these for commute driving no off road just winters

thanks Ben
