Those look sweet. Better think about some 4:11 gears, to get your MPGs and torque back. I just got Goodyear Duratracs 265/75/16s, moving up from 245/70/16s. Now my truck looks ready for business. But I need those 4:11 gears as soon as I can save up for them. I miss my snappy 4.6, feels like it just turned into a 4.0.

Pics before with just the 3" lift, then picks with the 285's on!! Nothing was needed for the rears to fit, the front, all I did was take of the front inner plastic piece (will mount tomorrow and trim as necessary, but doesnt look like much will be needed) and cut judt the edge off of the front side of the fronts at the bottom up a few inchs just to get it home. I COULD leave it as is, we rolled the body and couldnt get it close to touching, but I doubt this is trail ready, road only until more comes off just to be sure. Only other thing that was necessary was the steering stops had to be backed out about an inch roughly to keep the wheels from hitting the radius? arms. Theres now about 1.75 +/- turns of rotation of the steering wheel before the bumps hit and theres about a half inch or so extra clearance just to be safe so I dont shread the tires open in the next few weeks while i experiment with different road speeds and corner speeds to see if there is any rubbing. I promis tomorrow I'll be doing trimming, measurements and quality pics!! That and MAN do I need to undercoat the rear now, you can see EVERYTHING haha its HIIIIIIIIIIIIGH as hell!! LOVE it looks MEAN in person! Snow, floods, bring it!!

Look good. Be curious to see how much you need to trim.

I have been planning on buying a set of Guard Dogs also then while waiting for money, I saw these new 285's that have 10"s of tread at the ground, wondering if they will fit.

Backbone (Formerly D/MUD): The Backbone is for jeep, pickup and sport utility vehicle enthusiasts who take their off-road driving seriously. The Backbone has a deep, aggressive symmetric tread design with wide shoulder lugs and alternating scallops separated by wide gaps to combine steering traction in mud, loose rocks and ruts with self-cleaning capability. Center tread bars promote stability and directional control on- and off-road.

Tread Depth:
19/32”

Meas. Rim Width:
8”
Tread Width:

just an update, i was going to trim out yesterday but it never got above 30 degrees F out... way to cold for me haha its mid 40's by the time i get home after work, so ill probably start tonight. its looking like the inner front splash guard in the wheel well is going to have to be cut about in half, at full articulation i couldnt get the piece back in to mount it even, the tire was pushing it back about an inch or so about mid height. i wounlndt mind running without it, i just took it out to make installation easier (also replaced the foglight bulbs while i was in there) but i dont want rocks pelting the back of the fog lights, washer bottle and hoses. if i cut the guard in half i think the tire will fit and still offer enough coverage to keep the lights/hoses safe from rocks and flung water etc. if not think ill rivet the piece i cutt off to the back with a spacer or somethin. worse comes to worse ill just use gorilla tape
