Default 3 amigo's again (dif? I think though)

Hi all. Have been following the forum for years and always have found great help and advice without needing to ask,( thanks so much for that)....until now.

2004 disco2
owned since new
69,500 miles
headgaskets at 55k
3 MAF sensors replaced over the years
No mods
Air susp replaced with coils 2 years ago
3 amigos

local reputable repair shop (not LR specialist) removed air suspension after it would not inflate (the compressor would not engage after sitting for about 6mos)

then had soft brakes, no abs and 3 amigos.
took to dealer
dealer said needed bled (did that, 500.00 later no better and 3 amigos still)
dealer then said ABS Mod unit

went to independent respected LR shop thought maybe ABS Mod unit, but saw SVS code as well.

So I replaced Shuttle Valve and did reset. No lights, but no ABS either.
then next restart 3 amigos back.

So I tried the Virgin Island club post on the 3 amigos repair.

and now have this code (plus the three amigos)

020:No Batt Supply Voltage

this is the only code.

thoughts?
thanks and sorry in advance for any mistakes in posting/missing info

Check out ypour battery and alternator to ensure there's enough umph in them as the SLABS throws codes if the battery is down on design power. Did you have the SLABS ECU reset after removing the SLS air bags? and did you leave the two rear SLS sensors in place and connected?

I did do option b (sorry didn't specify that)
agree on it sounding wiry...and have checked all the wires that seem to have anything to do with the abs system for continuity at least...

offraodfrance,
I was wondering if something may have been disconnected but wasn't sure what I needed to check. I did ask the dealer to "do whatever" they would do to reset...

They and the rover shop saw where the relay had been removed from the fuse block in the engine compartment and said "yep it's been done......"

I do also now have the autotel scanner that allows reset..and have had it reset the codes...but I do not know if it can rest the slabs itself.

New battery. not new alternator. do not seem to have other week alternator symptoms though.

sls sensors are still on the truck. I will check if they are still connected to the wiring.

thank you both!

i dont know why they would remove a relay from the fuse box, they should simply have to change the slab to read coils instead if bags. When you did the shuttle valve did you replace the o-rings as well, or just the shuttle valve.

Thanks drowssap,

did not do o rings on shuttle valve. I was wondering about the slabs reset vs the relay being removed, and then the non dealer LR specialist seemed to think that was right too, so I let it go. I did try swapping another relay into that slot but did not get a different reading/code/amigos off

if you put a relay in the the compressor will mostly power up, which you dont want.
I guess pulling the relay works?? i just changed my slab to read spring and that was it.

and perhaps of note....the compressor was not powering up before switching to coils (which lead to the coil swap)...and had three amigos (before I knew what three amigos were) when the truck had last run 6 mos prior all was well (at least as well as can be )

Update: Three Amigos Dead.

after chasing wires and connections again, with no resolution, decided to try to eliminate component faults...so got a used slabs ecu and a used abs module. plan was to note whatever faults the new units had vs what my old faults were and try to eliminate causes

first connected the"new" abs module. still had no bat voltage plus now had shuttle valve and some other things swapped my VI club option b modded shuttle valve abs module back in...only had no bat voltage (again) (only doing the electric connections, not brake lines during the swaps at this point)

so in went "new" ecu and read its codes...some old stuff from the previous car... cleared it re read...no bat voltage GONE! now had a new fault pump failure 1 monitor line. Re checked wiring...white and blue line from slabs had not been re connected correctly during testing ( had only "wound" it back together for testing)..went ahead soldered and sealed it...3 amigos dead. all clear. Traction control works again. Time to go pull some jeeps out of the mud.

total $ outlay 79.00 new shuttle valve (which was then VI club modded) 79.00 used abs module 50.00 slabs ecu ~10.00 in misc wiring bits

dealer wanted 3k to replace abs module which turns out wasn't the problem.
