Default The 3 Amigos have Decided to visit.

Last night while back out of a spot after the suns game i drove about 50 yards with my E brake on (i'm an idiot) after letting it down the Amigos came for a visit with an alarm tone and then went off and have not been back.

I have read through the threads all day and have yet to find this happening in relation to this exact set of circumstances. Where should i start in the diagnosis and if it take the reading of the codes where do i buy a solid reader at a reasonable cost or at least reasonable in out world of LR.

As always thanks in advance.

SO far i haven't found a thing, but i am going to go ahead and make the purchase for one brand new tomorrow evening if my search doesn't drum up a used one at a better price.
The amigos have not come back, but i still want the tool to check and reset them as needed.

I had the 3 amigos coming on randomly in different situations. I never even read the ABS codes to see why they were coming on. I did two things.

1. Checked all four ABS sensors with an ohm meter to make sure they were good.
2. Did the internal wiring bypass in the modulator.

Have never seen the amigos come on since except for key on (or ignition on since I converted mine to keyless push start). Take the beast wheeling often and have never had issues with the HDC or 4wd system because of it.

Before I spent any money on a reader I'd do the wiring bypass. It really needs to be done anyways and is the culprit in most cases I've seen. TM2C

Are your brakes squeaking, do you have lots of brake dust on your wheels, are the 3 Amigos on all the time or on and off and when was the last time you did a full DOT 4 brake flush?

Came on once then went off after shutting the vehicle down for the night. Took it to the car wash and blasted the entire vehicle and got the brakes, wheels, etc extra. Amigos have not been on since, but i did order the reader. We shall see what it reads when it arrives.
