Exclamation 3 Warning Lights Engaging Simultaneously

Occasionally while I'm driving my disco around town I will have these 3 warning lights come on all at once with a beep.

Nothing in particular seems to be causing the issue and there's no noticeable change in performance. When the truck is turned off and back on, the lights are always gone (until next time).

Has anyone had this issue or have a clue as to where I can look to solve it?

Thanks in advance

Perform Option B Repair to solve the ground fault with the shuttle valve switches inside the WABCO ABS Modulator.

Hi Roverfogg, and welcome! The issue you are seeing is what is commonly referred to as "The Three Amigo's" in the Disco 2 world. It's caused by a malfunction in either the anti-lock brake system (ABS) or traction control (TC) system which causes those two systems plus Hill Decent Control (HCD) to not operate. All three of those systems are controlled through the ABS so if there is a fault with one, none of them work and all 3 lights come on. There is some good news:
1) You can still drive the truck no problem, but be aware that your ABS system may not work (sometimes it works with reduced effect) and that the TC is inoperative, so I wouldn't drive it anywhere but paved roads because the truck has no way to gain traction in low traction situations.
2) The Fix: get a code scanner and see what comes up. If it's a wheel sensor the scanner will tell you and it's a simple matter of ordering a new one and swapping it out. The second common cause is a grounding fault in the ABS modulator (this is what happened to me). There is a fix called "Option B" which has you reground the system. In either case all of you problems go away and full functionality is restored. You situation sounds typical of needing the Option B fix.

Scroll down to "Option B"

Best of luck!

Also check your battery amperage. If it is well below 14 A that is desired… You may have battery or alternator issues, which will also trigger the three amigos…

14v is with the vehicle running. 12.4v or so with the vehicle turned off.

Hey RoverFogg, I have an ABS Amigo I can ship to you if you'd like to borrow it. I bought it to troubleshoot the same thing, still haven't fixed it. Mine will likely be the Option B fix as well.

Shoot me a PM if you'd like to borrow.
