In MO they do emissions testing by county so you will have to check where she is. They do have a physical safety inspection state wide so the vehicle has to be in state for the inspection. I grew up in MO and when I moved to WI I got pulled over for missing a stop sign or something. I did not get a ticket for the traffic violation I got one for not having switched my plates after a few months of being a resident and a form that I had to turn back in proving that I had taken care of the problem within ten days. Not to say it could not be done just what I know about Mo and out of state tags.

We dont have any emissions laws here in MI, build it, "sell" it to me and I'll let you drive it for a small fee.

Well I would have one, granted they are not the fastest thing on the earth, but if you wanna go fast buy a sports car not a 2 ton truck shaped like a brick lol.

The 2.8 TGV is a popular conversion for those who want more power, but theres no real need imo, and I dont see "that" many TGV's at all in the UK tbh.

if you want a great offroad truck, the simplicity of a mechanical diesel engine, and 32-36 MPG, you cant go wrong.

Preaching to the choir. I have a 300Tdi in my D90. I was just passing on what I'd read about it in a Disco. But hey, more first hand reports are always good.

Okay emissions aren't an issue. If I go through with the swap the title for the truck is going to the great state of texas.

Legal issues aside, the mechanical issues are what worry me. Bellhousing to fit my transmission? A/C? etc. etc

I am 95% that the engine will bolt right up to your transmission.
As for the ancillaries...not sure.

Some came from the factory with the 300 TDi in them, its also a popular conversion as well.

Dont forget the RRC and Disco 1 are identical underneath, its just the body / trim that is different.
