Default 3D Print Discovery Trim

Has anyone 3D printed any discovery trim pieces? I feel like there is a huge opportunity for this stuff. The external A-pillars are $117/each - but I bet it wouldn't be too difficult to design and print one of them. Probably tons of other trim parts could be done this way too.

You would need a huge printer to make that piece. Plus that ability to 3D scan and digitize it, run production models to find the right compound for strength, and it would be all kinds of rough and liney(have you ever seen a 3D printed part? They generally do not look nice and need some finish work done afterwards)

There is a person on the forums making custom switch holders for the ashtray, they cost about $50 each. Imagine the size of that VS the trim piece. What do you think it will cost to make something 10x the size?

You're paying for his design work too. There are other places to get a similar switch holder for $19.

Someone on here has designed and posted the front corner rain gutter trim finishers. Smaller items like that would be more along the type and size of things most people would design.

I would buy that or have my friend print it up.
