Default 4 amigos?

I have the 3 amigos + 1. The emergency brake light also comes on intermittently. Anyone seen or heard of this?
I imagine you would want to know the codes?

Thanks.
Mike

You need new brake pads on all fours.
Your brake pads are to thin, when they get that thin the "BRAKE" warning light will come on because your brake fluid level is to low.
So when you stop or turn a sharp corner the brake fluid will move towards the front of the truck for example and then set off the warning light.
New brake pads and the 3 amigos will go away and your brake fluid level will be fine.
Keep driving and your brakes will start grinding and then you will also need rotors.

Ditto. Check and replace your brakes as necessary, do a full brake bleed, 3 pints of DOT 4 and then you can start addressing your 3 guys.

I've got an '03 also and I have never had 3 amigos, I always have 4. I think for some reason the '03s just get that extra light. My pads are brand new and the fluid level has always been fine, I also replaced the sensor on the reservoir for the fun of it and still I get 4 not 3. I've had modulator/pump issues and sensor issues and it has not made a difference.

Jim,
Do your brakes squeak at all? If you throw a panic stop from 30 MPH on loose surface can you feel your brake pulsate thru the brake pedal?
If your fluid is full then your e-brake switch has gone bad.

No squeaking, fluid level is fine.

After I tore apart and cleaned the modulator and pump and cleared the pump code I had ABS when sensor faults would come up. (again all 4 lights on) I've since had a R Front abs code (4 lights on) reset, came back a few times with 4 lights each time, cleaned the contacts and sensor and it's been fine since. Also had a relay sticking on earlier and had all 4 lights then too.

So, new fluid and level fine, new cap and sensor but I still only get four amigos. The Brake light is only ever on with the amigos so I really think we just get 4 amigos.

Relay Sitcking on - 4 amigos
Pump fault - 4 amigos
Wheel Sensor - 4 amigos
always 4.

There are no 4 Amigos. Exactly what fault codes are you getting, be specific.

I think the 4th amigo people speak of is the actual brake light.
