2004 Disco HSE. Called dealer, got a 4 digit code by vin number for radio. Dealer fanatically said "It only takes 4 digits for the code, i.e the 1213 number in our system." The manual says 5 digits, the radio/nav face only accepts 5 digits, at a loss.

I substituted missing digit from the dealer with 1-7 on the face, each time getting a new request for the code....example 11213, 21213 etc.

Other than the radio being changed, and having a faulty manual saying 5 digit code, dealer has me stumped.........

 

Try a leading zero or trailing zero.

Yes this sticker is gone, the dealer only gave a 4 digit code, without the sticker, I do not know the missing number. SOL I guess.

 

There are only what 6 buttons? So six tries at the front and six tries at the end?
