Default 52" curved light bar mounts?

does anyone have, or know of a mounting system for a 52" LED light bar that precludes the use of a roof rack?

preferably something that clamps or bolts through the drip rails?

if not a prefab unit, something you've built yourself?

There's a place always advertising on facebook that sells a 52" spot/flood combo bar and 4 pods for $220. I think im going to bite the bullet, but am having trouble finding a way to mount the long bar without a rack or drilling holes directly into the roof. Drip rail is good, roof bad lol.

I bought my 42" from them. It fits nicely between the factory roof rails. I just bolted mine straight through the roof and used RTV to seal. If you do end up bolting through the roof, buy longer bolts. The kit supplies 1 1/4" long metric bolts, but you'll need 2".

Twix is right. That's a sketchy but viable option.

As far as the light, I highly (insert every other adjective for stongly lol) suggest that you go with auxbeam's C3 light bar.

I'm currently using a curved 42" and I love it!. The C3 has 6 inches or so at the end of each curve reserved for heavy flood / spot lights. Literally throws light 170 degrees in front of the vehicle, not to mention these things put out massive amount of lumens (its comical lol)

here is the link

Do you by chance have any delicious pictures of this setup? I really wanted to slap one on my 2000 DII.

Thanks!

This likely wont help, but you can see/understand what he's talking about from my setup

I just used a bullbar mount on the end of the bar, it comes supplied with the wing style mounts that you'd have to drill / tap into the roof

Nothing sketchy about going through the roof. It's 3 ply 16ga steel. My RTV job around the wire hole is pretty bad, once I get back from work, I'll grab some black silicone and a gun to finish everything up. Only photos I have are in the "what did you do" thread
