'95 disco 3.9 not starting
Hi, I have a 95 disco 3.9. It has 98k miles on it and has been a very good car untill recently.
I was pulling a John deer tractor and it started to studder a bit when going up hills. So I slipped it into 3 (auto tranny) and it towed it fine. When I woke up the next day it wouldn't start. After 2 hours of messing around and trying to start it, she started up and didn't want to run. No acceleration and died shortly after. Since then it hasn't even acted like it wanted to start.
It is getting gas, spark, and air. I pulled the oil cap and the cam shaft is turing. I removed the distributer and the rotor in there is turning. I am planning to rent a compression tester device.
So my three questions are, what would be a compression lvl that would suggest a problem, and do any of you have any idea on what else could be wrong, and does it have a timing belt or chain? (any more things you would like me to look at I will get to it as soon as I can)
Thanks,
pants.
