Default 96 disco ignition switch?????

I have a 96 disco, SOMETIMES when I shut it off I lose all electrical to the cabin area.. I have to reenter the radio code and reset the clock as well. The dash light go out and so do all the other lights, I have no power to anything . You wait a while or mess around with the key and the lights all come back on and it will crank over and fire right up!!!!!!!.. Can this be the ignition switch???? Has anyone else experienced this??? Thanks for any help its getting annoying sitting in the rover at the gas pump waiting for it to decide to give me THE POWER.....Thanks again TIM O

Probably is the electrical portion of the ignition switch. They are a common failure item on Disco's

I have them in stock for $108.00

LOL..I have the same problem with my 96 discovery. Pumping gas in Texas heat is no fun. There are tons little nagging problems with the discovery, I just learned to live with it.
