96 discovery problems
Rather than making indivual threads ill post all my problems on one. My rover is a 96 se discovery and has the following problems:
-pulsing brake(i pulled abs pump fuse, still pulses some)
-radio locked and i dont know how to enter the code-FIXED
-thudding noise as if i have a flat tire is coming from the rear driver side when i move. FIXED
-window regulator broken, need a step by step of instillation
-air/heat only blows when put on setting 3 on the speed adjuster
-switches do notlight up and some require wiggling to light up
- rear wiper fluid button cause the motor to work but no fluid ejects. fluid container is full
--rear defroster switch does nothing, presses in but wont stay
-switches on steering wheel do nothing(what are they suppose to do)
thats it for now, any help would be much appreciated sorry for the other threads, thank you

pulsing brake could be from a warped rotor, just a thought, could be the cause of the thudding noise coming from the back as well but not sure. as for entering the radio code if you have the right one, just turn on the radio and put in the code (when it is in the "ready" state). As for the regulator it is just bolted in, unbolt and drop it through the bottom hole. I would look through the rave manual as this should be explained pretty well in there.
not sure I haven't had to enter mine in quite a while since I only had the radio in for about a week. my code is written under the hood so I will check it out later if I remember to, I am actually thinking it is 4, but cant say for sure. That could be the problem is you have the wrong code!
not sure where you tried to download the rave manual but here is where I got mine:

after you get it, download and install daemon tools lite (this is just a virtual disk drive), just "mount" the .ISO file in one of the virtual drives and it will install it on your computer, then you will be good to go. if you need any more help with this let me know.
you can also burn an .ISO file to a CD through many CD writing programs like NERO if you would prefer that route but you just need the initial install so it is a waste of a disk IMO.

mine is a 5 digit code as well, the rave manual is an .ISO file which is an image file, it needs to be either burned to a disk as an image or mounted with daemon tools as I explained before, this will allow you to install the manual and then you can open it anytime as a .PDF file with adobe.
