Default 96 Discovery v6???

Im looking to buy a 96 Discovery which is listed as having a "rare" 3.0 v6, but everythiing Ive looked at so fat online mentions nothing about a 3.0 v6. Could this possibly be a differant engine? Im i being taken for a ride or is there a 96 V6 out there?

Rover never built a 3.0 V-6, that is an after market engine

I've done a number of Rover engine conversions, and seen others. They can be top notch or pieces of crap. If you don't know what to look for, I'd get one with a stock engine.
I will say though if you find a Disco with a Rover 5-speed (called an R380) that's had a Land Rover 300Tdi conversion, that would be a good rig, if the workmanship is good. It's a decent drivetrain match.

Is it a online ad? If so can you post a link, it sounds like a typo to me.
