Default 96 discovery wont start or idle in hot weather

I have a 96 disco that has trouble starting in hot weather, 80 or above it sputters for a about a minute until I put it into drive and then sputters through the lot until it eventually just takes off. It runs fine when it cools down at night. Any help would be great.... Thanks!

Bad fuel temp sensor.

This is common with DI's.

So what have you checked so far, how about tune related stuff? How long since you changed your fuel filter, checked your fuel pressure and cleaned/replaced your air filter?

That's weird. My fuel temp sensor isn't even hooked up, and I don't have any hot start issues.

When the GEMS gets no signal it goes into a default mode, when it gets a bad signal...

Spike,

You are simply amazing. I am impressed with your in depth knowledge on the DI. I appreciate you being so responsive to questions regarding my favorite vehicle.
