ORIGINAL: 97LANDISCOVERY

auto zone said I needed 2, do i need 2 or 4?
Try Atlanticbritish.com. I think they are on sale for D1's as well. Also you can see what Evap family you are in to know which sensors to order. You should have 4 sensors. 2 pre cat and 2 post cat. You will need to change all four. I think ATB is cheaper than autozone, but it is still +100 for each.

As long as you do not have to rewire your old plug onto the new 02's then go for it.
Yes, you do need 4 02sensors on any OBD2 system.

Stay away from the one's without the connectors already made on them. THey have some generic sensors. The only one's I have found from them that might work are $148 a piece, but they say you only need 2 which makes me think they aren't the right one's. Disco's changed in 97 on the emissions. Make sure you get the right sensors for your evap family, or you will be sending them back.

Atlanticbritish.com/ They are on sale now. They will show you what to check under the hood to make sure you are in the right evap family. at $115, they are they cheapest good sensors I have seen.

I checked autozone for mine on my 2000, they didn't have them and couldn't order them. Like previously stated, make sure that they have the connectors. They might be trying to sell you some universal which never are. The only place here that has them is checkers, and they have to be ordered. All four would run something like 460 if I'm not mistaken.

for your D2, ATB has them for $60 a piece.....a lot cheaper, and I think free shipping on orders over $100...
