Default 98 Disco I brush Guard Installed on 2001 Disco II

So been wanting a brush guard for my disco since I purchased it about 6 months ago. I ran across a 98 Disco at my friends junk yard and it had a brush guard on it so I figured why not lets try it. I read up here that somebody had did it but with some modification. So I went for it. So i figured i would fix it up and try it and if it didn't work sell it.

Heres what it looked like when i got it last Saturday

That actually looks good!!
What mods did you have to do to the truck to make it work?
I know you never could have finished had your son not helped you, at least thats how it is when I work on my truck.

Thanks!

Basically i followed everybodys advise on triming the bumper. Since the brackets wouldnt fit through the factory holes in the bumper trim/valance. So I trimed the bumper. The brackets fit on the inside of the chassis. Once that was done I had to cut part of the crush cans in a 45 a little so the guard would fit up what i thought was correct.

I am stoked about it I paid very little for it and only have about 50 bucks in it total.

Yeah the little man likes to get out there and help every now and then!
