99 DII Rear Drive shaft question
Ok now that my lift and tires are complete...see "First real upgrade" post.....I heard a little "whine" coming from below....after a frantic check on the forum and remebering all the horror stories of front drive shafts and exploding u-joints..I suspected that the lift in some way exagerated what might have been a u- joint problem....so...I bartered with a local shop and swapped myrecently removed 18s for a new front drive shaftcomplete withgreasable u-joints.....the "whine" is gone.....good deal? I may have paniced....
Anyway, my rear roto flex(sp?) looks good...but when should I replace it? I have 115K....or am I supposed to change it out for a diffrent connection all together...?

RE: 99 DII Rear Drive shaft question
Usually it gets replaced when cracks start showing up between the six bolts, by mileage you are past do if it hasn't been done before. Rover Connection has about the best price on a factory replacement, might want to do that soon and keep your old one as a back up.
