99 Disco overheating
Started a week ago. As I pulled into my community the truck ran hot, I pulled parked and noticed the fluid was low so I topped it of and waited till the morning. On my way to work it ran hot so I pulled over for 10 minutes and it was cool again and I mad it to work, after work the same thing happened, this time I left the car on the road and came back in the morning. I was able to get the car home and it ran hot as I pulled into my driveway. I left the car alone for 3 days then replaced the water pump and thermostat, but the car still runs hot. I have noticed that the hose from the thermostat to the bottom of the radiator is cool while everything else is warm or hot and also the engine seems to cool quickly when I turn off the engine. Some one recommended a radiator flush, any ideas.
Also willing to sell this truck to anyone...name your price and we can talk.

It is a shame you are willin go sell it cause you never asked for help before.
What you have been doing is guessing and throwing parts at it, haven't even bled the coolant system and then complain cause it is still over heating.
Just got your message, send me your number and I'll call you.

Overheating is very common in these vehicles, for a number of reasons. The good news is that it can usually be fixed quite easily. If the bottom of your radiator is cool to the touch while the top is hot, that indicates blockage. (Sludge & corrosion settles to the bottom over time.) Any radiator shop can fix this for you, a new radiator probably isn't needed.
