It isn't so much of a little nipple. The one on my 2001 is about 3/4 to 1 inch in length. If you get under the front part of the front drive shaft and look back, follow the driveshaft back to the transfer case. On top of the transfer case and to the drivers side of the driveshaft is the nipple. You may want to use a flashlight to see it but it is right there. Phil

is there a panel under the passenger seat that allows you to access the top of the transfer case?

jycsalas, can you post some more info on your electrical CDL switch?

Yes Camdisco, thats what DiscoMike has too. It's sweet. You still have to roll a few feet sometimes depending on the position of the gears inside the front housing. for those who want to know exactly how CDL work, click

There is no panel. I just positioned the camera in a sweet spot to get the pic.

J/k I had the center console removed when I was installing the CDL kit and took that shot sitting in the driver seat. but i like the idea of a panel.

what you want to do is have the transmission in neutral when you lock the CDL
and have the transfer case in neutral too

If you click on my AMV CDL SHIFTER link in my signature and read everything in order you should understand everything.

Basically it is a window motor mounted on a custom plate that sits on top of the nipple. the motor turns the shaft below

which in turns, rotates the #33 part, OR NIPPLE.

the extra wires and magnet sensor on the plate stop the motor from running after a certain point both forward and reverse.

They work for me!
You might want to add something that says (click to see pics/learn more) so people who dont know they're links will realize they are clickable.
