My daughter has her 2001 Discovery in a small town in Indiana (nearest dealer is 2 hours away)..the 3 ABS related warning lights are on, and I want her to ignor them and not take the car on any highways, just travel around town back and forth to campus etc. The last time she had a warning light.."check engine"..she went to an Auto Zone and $600 later she had new spark plugs and wires. She was between a rock and a hard place and had to proceed with that repair. 5 months ago at a LandRover dealer she had front and back new pads and rotors so they are in good shape.

Any thoughts on the decision to ignor the warning lights?

 

Never ignore 3 warning lights especially on your daughters vehicle, I don't understand that wisdom at all.
Have her call me and I will run a couple questions by her and help her with this problem.

for what its worth, mike told me to get the ABS codes read and then cleared. Well mike was right they went away and never came back (so far). Sometimes its no big deal, and sometimes it might be. For what its worth, my pass. side wheel speed sensor was "out" and i was getting the ABS shuttle vavle code as well. both taken care of by clearing them. Thanks mike,
