Looking to rent or purchase an ABS Amigo OR find a shop in the Chicago area that has one (or similar device) for a code reading (assuming they don't charge LR dealer rates).

My 3 amigos lit up after a ball joint was replaced and the shop that did the work doesn't have a system that can read Land Rover ABS codes. All they can see is the ODBII p1590 code, which doesn't say much. I'm trying to avoid taking it to the Chicago dealer (Orloff) unless it's absolutely necessary.

i was just going to suggest them as im having my head gaskets replaced there, my truck will be good to go monday, i got a really good feeling after talking with george the head mechanic also check the website because they've got a 10% off labor coupon.

it's also not too far out of the city as its just past lake cook road on rand across from a best buy

 

Yea, it's right down the road from my office. He's always got at least one defender sitting out there. Plus it's not cook county so the sales tax is lower.

 

I have the ABS Amigo if you want to rent it.
I rent it for $40. Require a $200 deposit thru PayPal. Return $160 when i recieve it back.
I live in Indianapolis, and could have it to your door with USPS Priority mail probably Monday.
