Why?? How about going and just getting the ABS issue fixed. If you are in an accident and the insurance company finds the system is down and you tried to hide it by turning of a light, your insurance can be canceled.

No shop around here has the scanner tool to diagnose the ABS exept the dealer and they want $65 just for the privlidge to have my trk in their shop.
Then they want to charge $90 per hour to diagnose the problem and then whatever to fix it. I am 90% sure that it is a wheel sensor but do not know which one.
The ABS works, and other than the not being able to stop on dry roads once in awhile we have no complaints. We are just tired of the light staring us in the face.

I called around until I found a shop who had the right computer. Is there a town or city around your area you could call shops there then drive over??

My shop charged me $ 100.00 for them to use their computer, but, it included clearing all my codes and a report about the fault codes.

good luck!!

call atlantic british and ask for the nearest shop with an autologic scanner.

I pulled my dash apart to replace the bulb. Not too hard, but I can't tell you how out of principle. ABS was on so much, it burned out.... Didn't know it when I bought it....fun fun.
