Default ABS light

The ABS, Hill decent, and TC lights are on. I'm thinking it is the ABS sensor line, is there a way to check which one is it or is the mechanic shop the only way to find out? also the best price i found so far for one is $69, is there any other place that is cheaper for any instructions someone can give me?

Thank you in advance

Hello there,

I´ve had the same problem on my TD5. And there can be only one of two things:

1-Sensor malfunction.
2-ABS module malfunction.

In my case, it was just a sensor malfuncion, that was quicky solved... By Land Rover! (once the error is registered in the car´s "computer", only Land Rover can erase it).

But, unfortunatly, i know cases of ABS module malfuncion (The module controls the ABS / TC / HDC)... and here in Portugal... it goes for €1941 !!! FOR THE PART ALONE!

Hoping for the best,
Messias.

We had ABS, TC and HD light on our 2000 DISCO II. The dealership hooked their little machine to it, said it needed front brakes....problem solved!

Good luck to any who have this problem.....and hope it's not the modulator!

I have a 99 Disco 2 (94,000) with the same problem. I also had a weird vibration happening when I was accelerating up to about 30mph. Took it to the dealer for the first time ever. Big Mistake. I had to have the CV joint and drive shaft replaced and also had a problem with the Mass Air Flow Sensor. I replaced those at a cost of $1000. I did not do the ABS Shuttle valve replaced. That is what is causing the 3 lights to be on. they want about $2400 to do that. They did give a loaned (new LR3) for about 6 days no charge.
