Default ABS & Traction Control Lights On

Hey Gents!

Our 2000 DII had two lights on on yesterday while driving at a steady 45mph on a flat, paved, slightly wet road.

When my wife got it home, I started it and the ABS light was off, but TracControl was still on. We have a dirt driveway, so I gunned it and spun the wheels. The Trac Control light went off.

While cruising at 55mph in the mist today, both lights returned.

Any ideas, my friends?

THANKS!

Pat

Ohh, is it the three amigos issue? I was thinking that since there were only two, it might be something else.

Sweet, I can't wait! Thanks for the warm welcome, Hilltopper. Who would have thought I'd be doing a complete restoration on these vehicles... :P

Ha, the very rare 2 amigos. Not sure why your HDC light is not coming on also, does it illuminate on self check when you turn the key?

Cinco de Mayo was just last week, he's probably still hung over. I'm sure he'll be by soon enough

Forgive me if this sounds insane, as if I'm crossing reality with some function of Adobe Photoshop or iContact... but is there something I can click to merge my 2004 with the 2000, so that the best qualities of each remain?

Maybe if I crash them into each other really hard... I just hope I don't experience a B*tch-slap on the way to Colorado pulling those trailers...

I think I'm going to go the "ignore the problem" route on this one.

Thanks guys!

Just remember without traction control you pretty much have a one wheel drive truck (the one that is spinning with no traction) when it comes to slippery conditions. That is unless you have a CDL shifter installed.
