Default AC

My AC is only blowing 58 degree air on its lowest setting, is this normal or do I need a charge? and if so, should I take it to the dealer or do it myself?

P.S. Had a volvo 240 that was blowing 40 degree air on its lowest setting.

The normal a/c will drop the outside air by 40 degrees. Since you are driving a D2 that has some a/c issues in town, get it out on the road and test it with a thermomiter.
For the most part, Discos don't loose freon.

I don't even remember those numbers any more, sorry. Might want to talk with a good a/c mechanic for help there.
