ACE Leak 1999 Disco II
Hi everyone.
I am a new owner of a 1999 Disco II and loving it. However I recently discovered a leak in the ACE flexible hose running from the pump to the metal pipe.It's leaking at a crimp,not the one near the metal pipe but the next one along running along the bottom of the rad.It only leaks when engine running(system under pressure)The pipe looks fine. LR dealership have quoted $208+taxes for new pipe.
I was wondering if anyone could help and let me know if I can cut the pipe and re crimp it or if I get the hose how I replace the pipe(it's crimped on the solid metal end.My next question would be how do I flush the system once i've changed the pipe, is the system self bleeding?
One final question, does anyone know a good source for parts in the Toronto,Canada area without the dealership prices!
