Default ACE Leak

Sorry if this ends up here twice, my first attempt seems to have vanished.

I replaced the high pressure hose from my ACE pump this weekend. Today the pipe that goes into the valve block started spraying PAS fluid. I believe the collet failed, but I would like some input before I start ripping the ACE valve block apart. I have the following questions:
1. Would the collet fail on its own, or should I look for another problem?
2. Does anyone other than AB have ACE filters? (dealer wants $120)
3. If I pull the clamping plate off the front of the ACE block to replace collet will I have to take to someone with Testbook to bleed the system?

The pipe that is leaking is in the picture, lower right.
