Ace locked and a tire blew in the rain
They weren't imported in the U.S. in large numbers like the rest of the Land Rovers. They sell for a lot cheaper anywhere in the world but the U.S. Heck, theres a guy who traded his defender for a TD5 Discovery 2, I envy him.
ok, I will........carry the 4..........and.......wow, so that's like a difference of like ten hundred and fourteen and a half.....wow, that is a lot!
I'm afraid that any blowout on one of these vehicles at highway speed is quite likely to result in loss of control. Just an unfortunate fact about SUVs - look up the Ford Explorer / Firestone tires controversy :
Firestone and Ford tire controversy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
250 deaths due to tread separation! Reason was a combination of poor tire construction, and low pressures - 26 PSI.
The best precaution by far is to make sure your tires are in good shape, and check the pressures regularly.
I knew a guy killed in the UK when a front tire blew out on a Defender 110.

I envy him because where he's from his defender is worth less then the D2! There are two D90's at Land Rover Las Vegas and they are selling for like 60-70k? While if I sold mine I could get 4k, maybe.
