Default ACE pump missing on my '00 disco, what should I do?

As the title says. I purchased my second disco series II and this one does not have the ace pump installed on the engine, although all the other hardware (that I know of is there) The previous owner removed it and bypassed it with the smaller belt. This rover looks to have about a 4" lift compared to the stock one I have, will the ACE system still function correctly? It looks like all the linkeages will reach and are still attached. Aside from the issue of "flushing" the system if too much oil has been drained out should it still work to just slap a new/used one in there and hit the trails. A related question, can I get more torsion out of my axles if I just pull the rest of the parts and forget about it?

If the answer is yes, then I'm looking for a pump.

If no, I've got some parts to sell!

Thanks for the help!

It will be hard to know why he removed the pump until you can install a new one, but by buying used parts and doing most of the work yourself, you can regain a great ride.
If you want help, send me your number and I'll call you.
