Talking Actron CP9145 Scanner, thoughts?

Not wanting to hijack Robover01's thread, I thought that I better start a new one. Has anyone used the Actron scanner? Thoughts? pluses or minuses? The price seems incredible for $89 on amazon. I would appreciate any input. I am growing weary of borrowing a scanner everytime that the CEL lights up. Thanks Phil

I have read reviews and seems like it does what it says it does and more. Drawbacks are:

1) No backlit display so can become difficult to read in low light
2) Software is not the most up to date, in regard to presentation
3) The serial RS-232 interface cable to the PC is old technology and could make connecting to your PC a little more difficult than plug and play, if you do not have a serial RS232 port. Although, I think you can buy a converter cable to convert RS-232 to USB type connection, but not 100% sure.

This is just from what I have read, but those are not enough draw backs to turn this product away in my opinion. Great price. Take a look at the details this guys provides in his review after using it, and beside that review is more details on the drawbacks I noted in another review as well.
