Default Adding heated seats in 04 SE

I am in the market for an '04 Disco. I am currently very interested in one, but it does not have heated seats.

After doing some searching on this forum, it looks as though Discos that are equiped with leather seats likely have the wiring and elements in place for the heated seats; all that is needed is to add the switches to the center console.

Has anyone tried to add heated seats in an 04 SE and NOT been able to do it for whatever reason? If so, I would like to hear about it.

I just installed the heated seat activation kit from A/B on my 04 SE it was very easy and comes with very detailed instructions I would go for it.

If you find an "S" model with cloth, they normally did not have the heater element the rest did.

Just a follow-up to this thread.

I bought the Disco, ordered the switch kit from Atlantic British, and installed the parts. It was extremely easy and took less than 15 minutes. Seats now heat up very nicely.

So, now for other stuff for you to do on your 04, inspect and replace or rebuild your front drive shaft if it does not have 3 grease fittings. Also, read up on my major service list on a sticky at the top of this section and do it all before planning on any wheeling.
Enjoy your new truck.
