I'm going to my local shop and doing s smoke test
I already ordered new coil paks
i remember when I had my 04 disco for the first few months I was getting weird codes after a few visits to a well known Landy shop they replaced the coils and ran fine for the next 4 years
it was all under warranty
maybe this is a good time for a relocation kit

Interesting stuff Gentlemen. Thanks for all your Help on the issue.

In a strange turn of events I plugged it in to my obd sensor a couple of days ago and I had a big ol list of codes on top of the 117 codes. It was cylinder 1 misfire 1301 and a couple of evap codes too. I cant recall them now. 5 in total.
After pulling my hair out and doing everything I could possibly think of with the damn Landy. I continued to drive her to work and back, lumpy as she was, then.....
Yesterday, on my drive home I noticed the CEL disappear from the dash? what?
I got home and plugged her in... NO CODES!... What on gods green earth is going on with this car? Most temperamental / unpredictable Landy I have ever owned (this is my 5th)
I'm gonna drive strait to the SMOG station on the way home from work today with my fingers and toes crossed the whole way!
All monitors are good / ready or N/A apart from EVAP. And I believe out here in Cali it will still pass smog without EVAP ready.

I replaced injector seals/fuel baskets, plenum gaskets, jubilee clips, maf sensor, plugs, wires pressure tested intake system and it was all hunky dorey. I'm not sure what else she could have asked for!
If it passes smog and i get a CEL i think i will be removing the dash bulb ha ha

I hope its not the coils. A) they are pricey and B) they are a ball ache to get to.

What??? That's mental... $43 wow thought I was looking at around $180 a piece. Thanks for the info Red and White Kat - (Are you referring to the chocolate bar, Kit-Kat?)

How much did you pay for a smoke test?

Ill see, if I have any misfires again I will be putting in the coils in. But after all I have done on her recently I cant be arsed! Will be nice to get the smog under my belt. Then I can just enjoy driving her for a while.
Been 2 years of CEL on the dash for one thing or another. But then again that's what you get with Landy's. We are gluttons for punishment.... But when they work. Oh my!

Coils not that bad, I can do them in less than one hour by taking the top intake off.

So it passed smog. with no issues...
I just hooked it up to my OBD to find a pending code ... Incorrect purge flow! I replaced the purge valve around a year ago and now its back to haunt me. Not sure whats going on with that but I don't give a damn!!!
Also my headlights decided to stop working all together. Well that's landys I suppose.
