Default ADVICE: Terrafirma Suspension Kits

Wanting to upgrade my suspension and looking at the different Terrafirma kits. I want to be able to get a little lift (2-3 in) and still be good for street driving and offroad.

Anyone have an opinion on which kit you would reccomend from them? or is there a better/budget option?

I think the real big difference you need to sort out is if you want heavy load springs or medium load springs

I have the medium duty and like it , if ur trucks mostly stock you’ll be fine with medium but if you plan on steel bumpers winch and roof rack you’d probably want to move more toward heavy duty

Also if you have 18” wheels like I do i went up to 275/65r18 no rubbing, but I like many didn’t want to give up my 18” wheels I just love the look of them and I’m not a serious off-roader , but I think when my ko2 tires wear out I’ll be switching to 16” I just want a wider stance and make it look more beefy

save the money and get an OME 2 inch HD kit, my tf springs rusted out in 8 months.

The finish on the TF springs isn’t all that great, but just spray them with some clear coat before you install them. OME springs are great, but very $$$ IMHO. RTE springs are another great option. I haven’t used their latest stuff, but the older set I have on my 04 D2 are awesome. I’ve also heard a few people that were happy with a set yellow springs they got from the UK (not sure of the brand).

Just added a TF lift to my 01 last summer, so not a whole lot of input (so far, so good though, been wheeling twice since install). However, I will say...wish I would have gone with heavy duty in the rear. Once loaded for bear, she squats a little. Normal weekend trip(s) north with just me, no issue...but when the wife travels along or we go for a longer period of time...more things get added to the mix and heavy duty would handle the extra load better.

Brian..

Same experience here, don't buy TF Medium rears, they WILL sag, mine got to the point where they sagged without anything loaded on the rig (probably 4 years old). OME heavy rears are where it's at for me. I still have TF Mediums on the front, and I can't complain.

I bought OME Medium springs and their Nitrocharger plus shocks and the ride was stiff on a otherwise stock truck, no heavy add ons. Way stiffer than stock ride. Shocks have now worn out and replaced those with Terrafirma Medium's and now I have the best ride ever! I guess i need to update my signature.
