Default Advice/tips

Hello fellow disco enthusiasts I am writing this to gain as much knowledge as i can regarding my new 03 disco 2. I know I know the main advice is "dont" but i purchased it for 8700 in great condition all around and no mechanical issues with just about 70k miles on it. It has a few nice mods including a touchscreen stereo system and I am just hoping that this lasts me a good while. I want to do everything i can to keep it in good shape so please drop advice to maintaining a disco 2 thannks.

it certainly looks well maintained.

switch out the plastic bleed screw to the BMW brass one.

and do the PCV mod listed in the Stickies. this will put a lot of potential oil leaks on hold.

Take care of the oil pump gears/dowel pin. There’s the legend of the VIN# death range, did you check that?

Looks pretty clean. First thing l normally check on a Dll...is transfer case fluid. All four l've owned were either empty or had half quart or less. Read the sticky above, all of the "first time buyers" questions are answered there...especially regarding maintenance.

Goid luck, with your new Dll and welcome to the group.
