Default Aftermarket D2 Thermostats

I have read where there is a 180deg, oe-style thermostat with a lighter spring for D2's. Anyone know where you can get one??

OK, so I found some on ebay, Motorad(brand) 180deg-f. Listed for '99-'02. Am I correct in that my '04 takes the same thermostat as an '02?

I was reading up on the conversion over on LRO site. Nice writeup with picks, but a oe-style seems like it be alot easier, maybe cheaper??

I'll have to hit him up. I checked their website, but must be unlisted.

im new to all of this and i pulled it off. benefit is lower temps and an easier to deal with thermostat. for me it was an easy decision but i have to deal with expensive sourcing and hot weather so it was even easier.

lucky 8 does the right thing. Justin probably doesn't like me much but that's ok.

So it's essentially the same thermostat but it opens at 180?

Can someone elaborate a little more on this? Would it be just as good as an inline thermostat(180) mod?
