Default Aftermarket Horn

I was looking to get a louder aftermarket horn.Anyone have any particular one they have used, perhaps Hella, that they would recommend ?
The factory horn barely works now so I want to put something on that is louder.
I haven't looked at where the horns are,is there a lot involved in getting to them?

You just lift the hood and unscrew the front grill. I think all the screws are across the top of the grill (they are on my D1). The Discovery has two horns, probably twin-tone. You can use any 12v horn. I don't have any suggestions, but I'd look at Amazon and read customer reviews of various horns, then use Google shopping to look for any better prices. You could also take a 12v battery to a junk yard and try a few used ones until you find one you like.

Get one of those crazy *** train horns! You'll clear the road on both sides!

Some reviewers didn't like that one... that's why I like Amazon. But the air horn idea is fine. I read a funny comment in Jack Jackson's off road book. He wrote that an air horn is required or necessary (can't remember his exact phrase) for the 3rd world, but that we should realize that even so, some of the locals will be completely deaf.

Personally, in 23 years of driving, I've never used a horn except perhaps once or twice when someone was about to back/reverse into my stopped vehicle because they were oblivious to my being there. Well, other than that I toot the horn when going through empty tunnels for fun.

You are doing your fellow drivers a disservice.

You need to let them know when they are doing something stupid. Some drivers have no idea that when they just pulled out into traffic and crossed 3 lanes of traffic to cut you off that they made a mistake.
