Default aftermarket radio and dash control

I know for some cars they make adaptor kits to retain use of steering wheel controls. does anyone know of an aftermarket deck that allows us to use the factory stereo controls on the dash ofa disco I ('95)

No, not that I know of. I even looked at a Pioneer deck (factory unit is Pioneer) and it wouldnt work.

Check out crutchfield.com.They have one that you can use if your head unit has a infared remote.its universal so you have to splice it in.

I had the PAC Audio SWI-X and did not like it ... I traded it in for the SWI-ALP and bought an Alpine HU (for previous vehicle)

The SWI-X relies on the IR remote signal and is pretty flaky for response, SWI-ALP plugged into the back of Head unit and response was instant. Just my $.02

I have an alpine stereo with the PAC SWI-JACK. seems to be the same as the SWI-ALP. plugs into the back of the stereo. As per PAC's website, it will work with a 95 disco.
