Very few parts need to be genuine and certainly not head gasket kits.
LR would have to have a factory running full time just to keep up with the head gasket demand. Just order from BA. Luckly 8, or any aftermarket supplier

I just couldn't bear to drop a bundle on Land Rover parts when these particular ones don't seem to stand up - hand gaskets, radiator, coolant hoses - especially when the radiator itself is over $500. It was a tough decision because I usually always use genuine parts. Decided to go with a Nissens radiator from Denmark @ $200. Looks good, at least from a visual inspection. We'll see if it lasts longer that the LR unit. Went with Victor Reinz head gasket set from Germany. Went with coolant hoses from URO. Total cost was less than half of LR but cost is not the main issue. I don't want to spend my life replacing head gaskets and radiators in a Land Rover. The third radiator and third set of head gaskets in 140k miles is plenty and hopefully the last for a bunch of years to come.
